ADULT CARE CENTER'S VISION
TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR HEALTH IMPAIRED ADULTS AND THEIR FAMILY CAREGIVERS IN THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA COMMUNITY.
We're looking for enthusiastic and supportive members of the community, including persons having expertise and experience in, but not limited to, accounting, law, public administration, gerontology, marketing, and public health, as well as persons who are senior members of the community with experience in senior advocacy organizations and other volunteer organizations.
Term of office begins July 1st and is for a three-year term. A person may serve no more than two successive terms.
Board meetings are held every other month (February, April, June, August, October, December). Currently, meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Monday at noon, but the board sets the schedule at the beginning of the fiscal year.
This is a working board. Board members are expected to attend and participate in board meetings, committee work, and fundraising events. Board members are expected to aid the center in its success through contributions of time, talents, service, and financial support. Members are expected to be an advocate for the Center within the community.
